The new development will relocate all St Patrick’s Hospital services from Wellington Road to a greenfield site on Waterfall Road, Cork. It will include a 44-bed hospice and a 75-bed hospital offering continuing and respite care for older people.

Full anti-bacterial ironmongery package was specified and supplied in order to improve infection control and reduce the risk of common hospital bacteria being transmitted from the surfaces of the ironmongery.

The new acute hospital in Downpatrick includes dementia and psychiatric care, maternity services, and operating theatres. Bespoke anti-ligature furniture with antimicrobial coating was provided for the dementia and psychiatric wing.

The Royal Victoria Hospital, which provides over a fifth of Northern Ireland’s acute beds, is undergoing a £74m refurbishment. Phase 2A includes a £25m Imaging Centre and one of the UK’s largest hospital instrument cleaning facilities in the Central Decontamination Centre.
