Panic Hardware

We supply and install Escape Hardware designed to enable rapid and intuitive egress in both emergency (familiar-user) and panic (unfamiliar-user) situations. These devices are engineered to comply with BS EN 179:2008 (lever-handle or push-pad emergency exit devices) and BS EN 1125:2008 (horizontal-bar panic exit devices), ensuring alignment with current European safety standards. Installation focuses on ergonomic usability so that, even under pressure during an evacuation, users can quickly locate and operate the hardware. At the same time, the design provides robust resistance to unauthorised entry, balancing security with the need for safe egress.

Our technical team provides advisory services for the specification and integration of escape hardware across a range of applications, from corridor escape routes to main fire egress doors. Hardware selection is based on the functional requirements of the building, including considerations for external access, alarm activation, and compatibility with door assemblies. Each solution is developed to integrate seamlessly with architectural layouts and emergency planning, ensuring that the installed devices support both compliance obligations and the overall safety strategy of the building.
